About This Training
This training provides participants with the knowledge and confidence to effectively respond to an opioid overdose using Naloxone/Narcan, with step-by-step guidance that can save a life. The training also covers important protections offered under the Good Samaritan Law and offers guidance on how to apply these life-saving strategies within the workplace.

What Participants Learn
Participants will learn how to recognize the signs of an opioid overdose, understand what naloxone is and how it works, and walk through step-by-step actions to help save a life in an overdose situation. The training also covers key legal considerations, including protections under the Good Samaritan Law, and explores practical ways to apply these strategies within the workplace.
The Naloxone & Opioid Overdose Response Training is offered throughout the year and is open to employers statewide. Naloxone & Opioid Overdose Response Training is included in the Question, Persuade, Refer (QPR Gatekeeper) training at no additional cost.
